David Hinshaw Selected to Participate in Center for Audit Quality’s Smaller Firm Task Force
High Point, NC, December 23, 2009 – David Hinshaw, Director of Assurance Services and SEC Practice, has been selected to participate in the Center for Audit Quality’s (CAQ) Smaller Firm Task Force. The Task Force will focus on issues that relate to smaller public companies and will provide a forum for members to discuss emerging issues and express views regarding matters affecting audits of smaller public companies.
“I look forward to working with others on this committee to identify and address accounting, auditing and reporting issues impacting smaller public companies,” stated Hinshaw. “We hope to then use the Center for Audit Quality’s existing relationship with regulators and standard setters to provide the smaller public company perspective and to facilitate resolution of issues affecting those companies. It is truly an honor to have been selected to be a participant in such an important Task Force.”
Hinshaw is one of 15 members chosen to participate in this CAQ Task Force. He was chosen based on his leadership within the Dixon Hughes audit practice and his experience with accounting, regulatory and reporting issues of public companies.
