Rick Slater Selected as "Who’s Who in West Virginia Business" Honoree
Charleston, WV, December 8, 2009 – Rick Slater, Managing Member of the West Virginia practice, has been selected as a “Who’s Who in West Virginia Business” award winner. Slater is one of only nine business leaders to receive this honor for 2009.
The “Who’s Who in West Virginia Business” awards have been presented by The State Journal, West Virginia’s largest weekly business publication, since 1993. They are designed to recognize individuals who “bring strength and vitality to communities across the state through entrepreneurship and leadership.”
“This is a tremendous honor that really belongs to everyone here at Dixon Hughes West Virginia,” said Slater. “Their outstanding work is the reason we’ve been able to grow to this level and truly weave our firm into the fabric of the business community.”
In addition to serving as a Managing Member for Dixon Hughes, Slater is also involved in many additional leadership roles in the Mountain State. He was recently re-elected Vice-Chairman to the Governor on the West Virginia Economic Development Authority, and he holds appointments by Governor Manchin to the West Virginia Industrial Council and the West Virginia Pension Bond Advisory Commission.
The “Who’s Who” awards luncheon will be held on February 5, 2010 in Charleston, West Virginia and is expected to draw a crowd of more than 400 business leaders from throughout the region.
